Rochester MN Senior Portraits FAQ
How early do I need to book my photo session?
It is best to book your session late winter/early spring for the summer before your senior year, while you are still a junior. Most sessions are scheduled June – October. Fall has become increasingly popular. Please remember that these are the busiest times for photography and if you want a late summer/fall date, you must book early.
When will I get to see my senior photos?
After your session, we will schedule a viewing and ordering session appointment. This is where you get to pick your favs, order up prints, albums, wall art and more!
What should I wear for my senior photos?
Each senior portrait session includes an in-person design consultation where we will discuss wardrobe, location, etc. However, for most sessions it is best to choose one formal outfit and one casual outfit at least. It is best to avoid loud patterns such as wide stripes and chevron as well as screen printed t-shirts with logos and writing. These items often distract from the face and don’t photograph well. It is also best to avoid neon colored shirts as they tend to cast color onto the skin and look bad. Clothing should be fitted, and wrinkle free.
Who can come to my senior portrait session?
You are welcome to bring your best friend, a sibling or parent. A parent is required to come along to all senior sessions. If you would like to get photographed with a pet, someone will have to look after that pet while not being photographed. Let’s have fun!
