Erin Young Portrait Design Frequently Asked Questions
- Where are you located?
-
I have a beautiful large studio on the NW side of Rochester, MN. We live on 10 acres and the studio is a separate building on the property. You might see deer, turkeys, cats, our chickens and who knows what other wildlife while you are out here! Come and check it out!
- What payment options do you accept?
-
Cash, check, and credit card. If you have a special talent, like riding a unicycle, let me know and we could maybe work out a trade deal!
- Do you work on the weekends?
-
Well folks, the short answer is no. I do some weekend sessions once per month for those who really can't get in during the week. Newborn sessions are all scheduled in the weekday mornings. Seniors and families I try and do late afternoon and evening when the light is the best and it's cooler. Headshots and Corporate work all takes place weekday hours.
- What does the CPP and Cr. Photog. credentials after your name mean?
-
CPP stands for Certified Professional Photographer. In order for me to earn this accreditation, I had to go through a series of tests on the skill of photography and light. I also had to have several images judged and pass on those skills tested.
In order for me to maintain this status, I have to do continuing education and attend educational workshops.
Cr. Photog is short for Photographic Craftsman Degree. This is earned by teaching other professional photographers and also giving years of service to the industry. I served on the MN Professional Photographers Board for several year and also served for our local affiliate group as President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer.
